How the Agency–Production Relationship Is Changing.
Ross MacRae of Agency Source and Steve DeVore of 8th Street Productions explore how tighter budgets, multi-format demands and rising direct-to-brand relationships are reshaping production, where adaptability, collaboration and relationships now define the work in this Selling Stories conversation.
Steve says: "We still think of it as a triangle between client, agency and production company. That structure still exists, but it's not as apparent as it was five years ago. That said, the agency model is still very important. What has changed in that model is the timing of when production companies are brought into the process... Ultimately, the biggest shift is adaptability. You have to be able to scale, adjust, and stay creative within tighter budgets and higher demands."
